This was the third game of the Eye Of The Beholder trilogy, a series of role-playing games developed by Westwood Associates (later known as Westwood Studios) and published by Strategic Simulations Inc. Eye Of The Beholder III was the only one that was developed without Westwood, because they wanted to create Lands Of Lore instead.
